Somalia is in the midst of grief after the country lost one of its longest-serving lawmakers today.
Ahmed Dhimbil Roble lost his life on March 2 late in the evening.
The family and friends of the late Roble, who is also affectionately known as Casowe, confirmed his death to the public.
It is not yet clear what caused the death of such a distinguished lawmaker.
Various prominent Somalis, including Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble and Dr. Abdirahman Beileh, the Minister of Finance, led the nation in mourning him.
Casowe is set to be buried on Wednesday.
