The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Somalia has now reached 17,016 after the Ministry of Health reported 124 new cases.
The health ministry reported the new numbers after testing 2,425 samples in the last 48 hours.
Puntland had 54 cases followed by Banadir with 50. Somaliland and Galmudug had 14 and five cases respectively.
Seventy-one people recovered from the disease while 11 succumbed to it.
Consequently, the tally of fatalities has now reached 938 while that of recoveries stands at 8,212.
