Opposition leaders in Somalia have reiterated their calls for the suspension of the ongoing parliamentary elections in the country.
On December 9, the Council of Presidential Candidates (CPC) issued a statement on this matter.
Thursday’s statement is the second one in a week.
In the views of the opposition leaders, Somalia’s parliamentary elections are fraught with fraud, lack of credibility, and unfairness.
Therefore, they have urged authorities to convene a consultative meeting to address the concerns raised on the elections.
They promised to boycott the results of the elections if their concerns aren’t addressed.
