Somalia’s name is no longer in the countries that appear on the Red List that the United Kingdom recently prepared.
The UK prepared the Red List containing names of countries that its citizens shouldn’t travel to because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Travelers from this country must first go into quarantine for 14 days.
On October 8, the UK government announced that Somalia is exempted from this list.
Apart from Somalia, 46 other countries have also had their names removed.
Nevertheless, travelers from these countries are not exempted from doing a PCR test prior to traveling to the UK.
Only seven countries remain in the list.
Grant Shapps, the UK Transport Secretary, announced these latest developments via Twitter on Friday.
