Somalia appealed to the United Kingdom to support it in the ongoing fight against terrorism in the country.
Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur appealed for increased support when he held discussions with the Acting Ambassador of the UK to Somalia on Sunday.
Nur and the UK diplomat discussed the lifting of the arms embargo that the United Nations imposed on the East African nation decades ago.
The Somali Minister of Defense also sought assurance from the UK that their European nation would rally behind Somali National Armed Forces (SNAF) in the ongoing counterterrorism war.
He expressed gratitude to the UK for the continued support it has offered to Somalia over the years in security matters.
