President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has appointed a new Somalia Special Envoy for the East African Community (EAC).
The Somali President appointed Dr. Abdusalam Hadliyeh Omer to represent the country in the regional economic bloc.
Dr. Omer comes with tons of experience in public service.
Previously, he served the Somalia government as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. He is also a one-time Governor of the Central Bank of Somalia (CBS).
President Mohamud announced Dr.Omer’s appointment on Sunday, August 14.
