President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s continued stay in Dhusamareb has come under sharp criticism.
Cismaan Ciise Nuur, a former minister in the local Galmudug administration, hit out at the President for his continued stay in Dhusamareb.
“The more that President Mohamud stays in Dhusamareb the bad the situation is for local residents,” said Nuur.
The ex-Minister of Security added that the President needs to leave the city as soon as possible.
“The President is at risk of overstaying his welcome considering that his presence in Galmudug’s capital city sows seeds of fear and confusion in the region,” he added.
Furthermore, Nuur added that the war on Al-Shabaab has failed miserably.
