Somalia President Closes Two-Day National Consultative Council

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia has closed the two-day National Consultative Council (NCC).

The NCC kicked off on June 11-12.

It took place at Villa Somalia, where the Office of the President is located.

Apart from President Mohamud, Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble also attended the council.

Others who were at the event included the regional state presidents.

Jubbaland’s President Ahmed Islam Madobe, Puntland’s President Said Abdullahi Deni, and HirShabelle’s President Ali Gudlawe also took part.

Other regional state leaders at the NCC were Galmudug’s President Ahmed Abdi Karie Qoorqoor and Southwest’s President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Qoorqoor.

Participants at the event released a communiqué with details of the issues they agreed to prioritize.

President Mohamud was chairing his first NCC as the President of Somalia.
