President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud will travel to Turkey for his second official visit outside Somalia since winning the May 15 presidential elections.
A communiqué from President Mohamud’s office shows that he will travel to the European nation to attend discussions on the Benefits of the Turkey-Somalia Partnership.
The discussions commence on Tuesday, July 5.
Mohamud left the country for the first time since becoming President when he traveled to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in June.
He departs the country on Monday.
While in Turkey, President Mohamud will hold discussions with his host President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
