Somalia’s Prime Minister has appointed new Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) officers.
Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre announced the new appointments on Sunday, July 4.
In his briefing, Prime Minister Barre said that he’s appointed Farhan Jimale of British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) as the new Spokesperson for the Somali Government.
Jimale would also serve as the Director of Communications and Media in the Office of the Prime Minister.
Other appointees were Abdullahi Sharif and Hashim Mohamed.
Sharif is to serve as the Chief of Protocol while Mohamed would be the new Director of Administration and Finance.
The appointments take effect immediately.
