Somalia has received a consignment of more than 300,000 Johnson & Johnson vaccines from the United States.
On November 7, the East African nation received 336,500 vaccines to help curb the spread of COVID-19 disease.
The plane carrying the doses arrived at Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu on Sunday morning.
Somalia received the doses through the COVAX facility.
Consequently, the country has now received 638,900 COVID-19 vaccines from the United States since August 12 when the first batch arrived.
Worldwide, the United States has donated over 220 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to more than 100 countries.
Currently, the disease has claimed more than 1,234 lives since March 2020.
