Somalia has received an additional $5 million from the United Nations to use in mitigating the effects of the ongoing heavy rains and floods.
Thus far, the rains and floods have killed close to 100 people in the East African nation.
Earlier, the UN released $25 million through the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) for the same purpose in Somalia.
The money was from the Somalia Humanitarian Fund (SHF) and the UN Central Emergency Response Fund (UNCERF).
UN released the latest round of funds on Monday.
