Somalia Receives $9 Million from the UK for Drought Response

Somalia has received the sum of $9 million from the United Kingdom’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

FCDO handed over the funds to the Somali government on Thursday.

The funds would enable Somalia to respond to the effects of drought more effectively.

While presenting the funds, FCDO announced that it would go a long way to strengthening the ADRiFi, a project run by the Africa Development Bank (AfDB).
