Somalia has received medical supplies from the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (OGAD) and the European Union.
The donation was made under the EU-IGAD COVID-19 Response Program.
Ministry of Health officials received the donations on behalf of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) on September 2.
The supplies included three ambulances and medicines.
Somalia has been reeling under the weight of the COVID-19 pandemic, which continues to have a socio-economic impact on the citizenry.
