The Ministry of Health announced that Somalia’s COVID-19 cases have now increased to 6,549.
On February 24, the health ministry stated that it had recorded 105 new cases.
Ninety of the cases were reported in Banadir region while Jubbaland was responsible for 10.
Southwest and Hirshabelle had two cases each while and Galmudug recorded only a single new case.
Recoveries are now as many 3,783 while deaths have increased to 218.
Sixty-five of the new patients diagnosed with the disease were male while the remaining 40 were female.
The health ministry has warned members of the public to be more cautious after the country recorded resurgence in COVID-19 cases since January 2021.
