Somalia recorded 114 deaths related to COVID-19 in the last four weeks, the country’s Ministry of Health has announced.
The health ministry announced these numbers on November 4.
In its update, the ministry says that the East African nation has now witnessed 1,294 deaths since the first case was confirmed in the country last year in March.
Further, the country also recorded 1,424 new COVID-19 cases in the same duration.
Somaliland led with 960 cases followed by Puntland with 313.
The rest were HirShabelle (69), Southwest (36), Banadir (25), Jubaland (20), and Galmudug (1) in that order.
Moreover, the country also saw its positive cases stand at 22,693.
With 840 people recovering from the disease over the four-week period, the tally of recoveries is now at 10,767.
