On Tuesday, the Ministry of Health reported 16 new COVID-19 cases in Somalia.
The health ministry said six of the newly reported cases were in Somaliland.
Banadir and Jubbaland had six and four cases respectively.
Furthermore, the health ministry clarified that 11 of the cases were male with the rest being female.
With the latest figures, the tally of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Horn of Africa nation has now increased to 3,212.
After recording 19 new recoveries, the health ministry indicated that 1,562 patients had now recovered from the novel coronavirus.
The number of fatalities remains at 93 as no more people died from the disease.
