Somalia has recorded 35 new cases of COVID-19 from tests carried out in the last 72 hours, the Ministry of Health has announced.
According to health ministry, the new cases are from 1,126 samples tested from August 28-30.
Somaliland was responsible for 19 of the new COVID-19 cases. Puntland recorded 15 cases while only one case was confirmed in Banadir region.
Additionally, the ministry said that 23 of the new cases were male and 12 female.
Furthermore, the country recorded 98 more recoveries. The health ministry also indicated that no fresh deaths were announced.
Consequently, Somalia now has 3,310 COVID-19 cases out of which 2,579 patients have recovered from the disease while 93 have died.
