Somalia Records 369 New COVID-19 Cases

Somalia has recorded 369 new cases of the COVID-19 pandemic, as per the latest updates from the Ministry of Health.

The health ministry published the latest numbers on October 10.

In it, the ministry confirmed that the new cases were from 4,699 samples tested in various parts of the country over the last 72 hours.

Once again, Somaliland led with 272 cases followed by Puntland’s 53, Banadir’s 18, and Jubbaland’s 11.

Southwest and Galmudug states had 11 and 4 cases respectively.

With 28 deaths, the health ministry reported that 1,180 people had now succumbed to the disease, which Somalia first confirmed in 2020.

The tally of confirmed cases is now at 21,269 while recoveries stand at 9,927 after 112 more people recovered from the deadly disease.
