The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has reiterated its commitment to the implementation of the United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 2687(2023).
Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, the Minister of Defense, offered this assurance when he held discussions with Catriona Laing.
Laing, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) of the UN to Somalia, visited Nur at the defense ministry’s headquarters on Friday.
Nur and Ambassador Laing agreed on the importance of implementing UNSCR 2687(2023) and the progress of the ongoing operations against terrorists in the country.
