Somalia Remains Vulnerable to Recurrent Climate Shocks

The Food and Agriculture Organization believes that Somalia remains vulnerable to recurrent Climate shocks.

FAO said that the Horn of Africa nation is not out of the woods yet.

In its latest report, FAO added that it would work closely with other partners to implement climate-resilient measures in the country.

Currently, it partners with Qatar to this end.

The measures implemented thus far will help Somalia to enjoy improved food security.

The FAO/Qatar actions are timely considering the drought and subsequent humanitarian crisis Somalia has experienced in the recent past.
