Somalia Reports 52 New COVID-19 Cases

Somalia’s Ministry of Health has confirmed 52 new cases of the deadly coronavirus in the country.

The new cases were recorded from 1,713 samples that health officials in the country tested.

As per the ministry’s latest briefing, 41 of the cases were recorded in Puntland, eight in Somaliland, and three in Banadir.

Furthermore, 46 were male and six female.

The health ministry confirmed that 65 people had recovered from the deadly disease and that there are no new deaths.

Somalia now has seen its tally of new cases rise to 3,442 while recoveries are now at 2,877 and fatalities remain at 98.
