Somalia was well represented at the meeting of finance ministers from the Horn of Africa region.
The ministers met as part of the Horn of Africa Initiative on the sidelines of the ongoing meeting involving officials from the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The World Bank and IMF meeting is taking place in Washington DC.
Dr. Elmi M. Nur, Somalia’s Minister of Finance, represented his country at the Horn of Africa Initiative.
Nur and his fellow ministers discussed several issues.
Mostly, they prioritized discussions on strengthening resilience and trade cooperation in the Horn of Africa region.
