Somalia has announced the resumption of livestock exports to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Mahdi M. Gulaid, the Deputy Prime Minister in the Federal Government of Somalia, broke this news to Somalis on Tuesday, March 15.
He broke the news after holding discussions with Ahmed Bin Mohamed, the Saudi Arabia Ambassador to Somalia.
The two leaders inaugurated the resumption of the livestock exports.
For years, Saudi Arabia was Somalia’s largest export market for livestock.
However, that changed when the diplomatic and trade relations between Somalia and Saudi Arabia broke down.
