Somalia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that it sent a letter of protest against Kenya to the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD).
Earlier, the ministry had said via its official Twitter handle that it filed a lawsuit against Kenya with IGAD.
In its earlier tweet, the foreign affairs ministry indicated that it submitted details of the lawsuit to His Excellency Ahmed Hamdok, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Sudan.
Hamdok also serves as the Chairperson of IGAD.
According to the latest tweet from the foreign affairs ministry, IGAD has confirmed receipt of the letter, which lists Somalia’s grievances against Kenya.
