Somalia Scraps Fees for Obtaining Secondary Schools Certificates

Somalia has scrapped the fees students pay to obtain secondary school certificates.

The federal Ministry of Education announced this momentous move by the government to the public today.

Farah Abdulkadir, the federal education minister, broke the great news to parents and students in secondary schools around the country.

Forthwith, the ministry would cease charging students this fee.

Abdulkadir announced that the scrapping of the fees would start taking effect from Wednesday, September 28.
