Somalia is looking for new ways of accelerating domestic revenue, the country’s Ministry of Finance has announced.
The finance ministry made this revelation on December 21 while hosting its personnel during a lunchtime meeting.
Dr. Abdirahman Beileh, the Minister of Finance, chaired the meeting of the ministry’s top personnel.
While addressing the staff, Dr. Beileh told them that the ministry remains committed to increasing the country’s revenue collection targets.
He told them that the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) would not achieve self-sufficiency for the country if the finance ministry fails to collect as much revenue as is required.
