Somalia is actively seeking help from Bahrain to improve the health sector in the country.
Dr. Ali Hajiadam Abubakar revealed this when he held discussions with Dr. Jaleela bint Sayed Jawad Hassan.
Dr. Abubakar, the Somali Minister of Health, met with Dr. Hassan, his Bahrain counterpart, on Friday.
They agreed on the need to pursue increased relations and cooperation on health matters.
Somalia’s health sector has not been in the best condition for decades following years of conflicts and poor governance.
Dr. Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdullah, the Chairman of the High Council of Health of Bahrain, was at the discussions too.
