Somalia is interested in improving its relations with South Africa.
This emerged this week when Somali and South African ambassadors met in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Abdullahi Mohamed Warfaa and Edward Xolisa Makaya met in the Ethiopian capital on Wednesday.
Warfaa, the Somali Ambassador to Ethiopia, received Amb. Makaya of South Africa at his Addis Ababa office.
They agreed on the need to lead efforts aimed at improving bilateral ties between their respective nations.
