Somalia has been selected to pioneer a program known as the Accelerating Sustainable and Clean Energy Access Transformation (ASCENT).
ASCENT is a World Bank program.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) announced Somalia’s selection into the program.
Somalia’s selection and appointment as a pioneering nation of the program is proof of the global recognition it now enjoys in the field of clean and renewable energy.
According to USAID, Somalia now leads the way into a cleaner future.
