BELGRADE, Serbia – Deputy Foreign Minister of Somalia lawmaker Isaak Mursal met with his Serbian counterpart Damjan Jović in Belgrade this week.
The discussions centered on renewing the longstanding friendship between the two countries and exploring fresh opportunities for joint collaboration.
The officials thoroughly examined the enduring diplomatic connections between the two capitals. They emphasized broadening their partnership beyond conventional diplomatic relations to include concrete sectors that foster national growth.
The meeting highlighted several priority collaboration areas. These include technology, which involves exchanging knowledge in advanced technological systems.
Additionally, they discussed economic growth. Here, their focus was on investigating trade and investment prospects to stimulate both economies.
Education and security issues were tackled. They vowed to enhance academic partnerships and scholarship initiatives while coordinating actions on shared security interests.
In addition to bilateral matters, the officials addressed enhancing cooperation in international platforms. Both nations recognized the value of harmonizing their foreign policy approaches to more effectively promote common interests globally.
They reiterated their dedication to sustaining periodic political consultations, stressing that continuous communication is crucial for safeguarding mutual benefits and upholding agreements between Somalia and Serbia.
Wrapping up the visit, Deputy Minister Mursal thanked the Serbian government for the hospitable treatment of his delegation in Belgrade.
He reaffirmed Somalia’s eagerness to strengthen the alliance, ensuring the expanded cooperation delivers tangible advantages to the people of both countries.
