A partnership between Somalia’s Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation together with the World Bank have signed an agreement jointly with the World Food Programme (WFP) to benefit farmers affected by floods in the country.
The agreement, signed on Saturday, focuses on resilience and emergency assistance for farmers affected by floods.
Climate shocks, especially in Somalia, have a severe impact on communities, particularly in the agricultural sector.
This agreement will help farmers recover while strengthening their ability to withstand future challenges.
It will also support long-term sustainability in the face of recurrent climate-related disruptions.
