Somalia has signed a cooperation agreement with the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Somali and IATA officials signed the agreement on Tuesday, February 7 in Mogadishu.
Fardowsa Osman Egal, the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, signed the agreement on behalf of Somalia.
Kamil Alawadhi, the IATA Regional Vice President for Africa and the Middle East, signed it on behalf of his organization.
The agreement allows Somalia to enjoy the economic and social benefits of aviation in full.
