Somalia has agreed on a plan to settle the debt that it owes OPEC Fund for International Development.
Currently, Somalia owes OPEC Fund $36 million in arrears.
Minister of Finance Bihi Egeh announced this breakthrough on Wednesday.
“The agreement with OPEC Fund is a huge milestone for our debt relief efforts,” Egeh stated.
“It will boost our pursuit for economic stability and recovery while unlocking new resources from the fund to aid our national development,” he added.
