The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) is to disburse $11 million to Somaliland on Monday, April 4.
FGS had pledged the funds to Somaliland on Sunday to support victims of the Waaheen Market fire that destroyed over 2,000 business premises.
Mahdi M. Gulaid, the Deputy Prime Minister of Somalia, made this vow on Sunday.
The Deputy Prime Minister guaranteed that Somaliland would receive the funds on Monday, a few days after one of the worst fire disasters rocked Hargeisa.
Waaheen Market went up in flames on Friday night.
The fire razed the market, which is in Hargeisa, for close to 15 hours.
