Somalia will experience an underwhelming season of rainfall.
Adam Abdelmoula, the Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, said this in a press statement dated April 5.
He was speaking about the humanitarian situation in the country.
In the statement, Abdelmoula also appealed passionately for “sustained support” for residents of the East African nation.
“A historic drought has taken Somalia to the brink of famine,” his statement read.
