The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) is prepared to release the report on the effects of El Nino in the country within the next few days.
Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) Commissioner Mahamuud Moallim announced these plans on Sunday.
Commissioner Moallim added that the report will focus on the damages and losses left behind by the El Nino rains.
The report, which is called Rapid-Post Disaster Needs Assessment (RPDNA) will be published on June 11, 2024.
Somalia was rocked by El Nino rains towards the end of last year. The rains caused floods and strong winds that left tons of damages and losses around the country.
