Somalia to Send Victims of Hayat Hotel Attack with Serious Injuries Abroad

The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) plans to send victims of the recent terror attack at Hayat Hotel abroad to receive advanced treatment.

Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre announced this on Sunday when he visited the injured.

The Prime Minister visited those receiving treatment at Medina Hospital and Turkiye Recep Erdogan Hospital in the nation’s capital.

According to the federal Ministry of Health, 117 people were wounded in Friday’s attack.

Out of these, 15 have serious and life-threatening injuries.

“Those who can’t find the proper treatment for their injuries locally will be taken abroad for specialized treatment at the government’s expense,” the Prime Minister said.
