Somalia plans to strengthen agricultural development cooperation with Turkey.
This emerged on December 17 during a meeting between Said Hussein Iid, Somalia’s Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, and Bekir Pakdemirli, his Turkish counterpart.
Iid met Pakdemirli in Istanbul on Friday in Istanbul on the sidelines of the ongoing Turkey-Africa Summit.
The agriculture minister is part of the Somali delegation that traveled to Istanbul together with President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had invited Farmaajo and other African leaders to the summit.
