Somalia is to strengthen its partnership with the United Nations for the sake of the country’s economic development.
Discussions between Dr. Abdirahman Beileh and James Swan on September 11 revealed this.
Dr. Beileh is Somalia’s Minister of Finance while Swan is the United Nations Special Envoy to Somalia.
The UN Special Envoy paid a courtesy call on Dr. Beileh to discuss several issues including the ongoing economic reforms in the East African nation.
They agreed that Somalia has to pursue and advance its sustainable development.
Over the last few years, Somalia has made great strides in drafting economic policies that have brought its economy into the 21st century after decades of collapse from wars and political instability.
