Mogadishu, Somalia – In a high-level meeting held Monday in the capital Mogadishu, Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to Somalia, Ahmed Juma Al-Rumaithi, reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership and advancing mutual cooperation between the two nations.
According to an official statement, both sides expressed a shared desire to expand collaboration across multiple sectors, including security, economic development, humanitarian support, and regional stability. The meeting marks a pivotal step in reinforcing bilateral ties that have seen renewed momentum in recent years.
Prime Minister Barre praised the UAE’s continued support for Somalia’s stabilization efforts and highlighted the Gulf nation’s significant role in humanitarian assistance, investment, and infrastructure development.
