Mogadishu, Somalia – The Interior Minister, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh, met with United Nations Deputy Special Representative, Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator, George Conway, to review advancements in the ongoing UN transition mission in Somalia.
The discussions concentrated on enhancing collaboration between the federal government and the UN as the mission enters its next stage, aiming for a seamless and efficient transition. Both parties stressed the necessity of progressing sustainable solutions for communities nationwide affected by displacement.
The gathering highlighted a mutual dedication to fostering stability, local governance, and lasting recovery initiatives, with special focus on the requirements of vulnerable populations suffering from conflict and natural disasters.
