Mogadishu Airport Launches Dedicated Play Zone for Children

Mogadishu, Somalia – The federal Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has launched a new children’s play area at Aden Adde International Airport, creating a welcoming environment for young passengers during flight waiting periods.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Mohamed Farah Nuh, the civil aviation minister, who emphasized that the facility is complimentary and represents the airport’s commitment to improving passenger services while aligning with global standards.

This initiative was made possible through funding and support from SOS Children’s Villages, demonstrating a successful partnership between the Somali government and international development organizations.

The play area has been designed to meet international specifications and is anticipated to enhance the overall travel experience for families and visitors at the airport.
