Somalia Urges UK to Support Calls for Lifting of Arms Embargo

Somalia appealed to the United Kingdom to support its plea for the lifting of arms embargo.

On Tuesday, Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur delivered this request to Mike Nithavrianakis.

Nur is Somalia’s Minister of Defence.

Nithavrianakis is the new UK Ambassador to Somalia.

Nur reminded Amb. Nithavrianakis of the importance of lifting the arms embargo.

He stated that Somalia needs new military equipment to help its military offensives against terrorists.
