A basketball legend from Somalia has lost his life in the United Arab Emirates, his family confirmed.
Reports indicate that Omar Abdulkadir Barajab, a legend of Somali basketball, died on March 30.
The 61-year old Barajab was one of the best players to have donned the jersey of the national basketball team.
He also left a legacy as one of the best LLPP Jeenyo basketball players.
Barajab was expected to vie in the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled to take place any time soon.
