Somalia’s Danab Special Forces Halts Recruitment of New Soldiers

Danab Special Forces has slowed down the recruitment of new soldiers, a new report from a highly placed military officer has shown.

Brig. Gen. Miguel Castellanos, the Deputy Director of Operations of United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), recently made these stunning revelations.

According to Brig. Gen. Castellanos, the recruitment has slowed down because the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) is unable to find “appropriate soldiers.”

Danab Forces are specially trained by the US military.

They have been playing a crucial role in the East African nation identifying Al-Shabaab extremists and raiding their bases.

Danab Forces work closely with soldiers from the Somali National Army (SNA), African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), and AFRICOM.
