Somalia’s Ministry of Defense has appointed a new spokesperson.
Abduqadir Mohamed Nur Jama, the federal Ministry of Defense announced the appointment of the new spokesperson on October 15.
Brigadier General Abdullahi Ali Canood becomes the new spokesperson of the defense ministry.
Prior to his new appointment, Brig. Gen. Canood had served the Somali National Army (SNA) in various capacities.
While making the announcement, the minister said that Brig. Gen. Canood would help strengthen the relationship between the ministry and the media.
