Abdi Abdinasir Said Muse, Somalia’s Deputy Minister of Internal Security, was the target of an assassination attempt on Saturday.
An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) that was hidden by the side of the road hit the Deputy Minister’s car.
The bomb then exploded hitting Muse’s car.
Fortunately, Muse was not in the car at the time of the incident.
Nevertheless, one of the guards traveling inside the car was killed on the spot while three other people suffered various types of injuries.
