The Ministry of Education in the Federal Government of Somalia has launched construction of new buildings at the ministry compound in Zoobe.
Abdullahi Godah Barre, the Minister of Education, Culture, and Higher Education, laid the foundation stone at the compound on Thursday.
While at it, Barre announced that the construction of new buildings is to commence immediately.
Further, he announced that his ministry has ordered for the major repairs on all existing buildings to proceed concurrently with the new construction.
He launched the exercise projects on September 17 and announced that the government has already set aside funds for the construction and repairs.
