Somalia’s Elections Dispute Resolution Committee (EDRC) has elected its new chairman.
The committee elected Ahmed Awil Warsame its new chairman in elections conducted on January 20.
Late last year, Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble sent seven members of the committee packing.
Hussein Mohamud, the former chairman, was among the individuals sacked.
Thursday’s elections took place in Afisyoni, which is near the Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu.
